My VOCO offers products that are voice controlled, multi-room, music and video streaming allowing the user to have full control of their media no matter where they are. This site was a challenge due to the fact that the client was very intent on using osCommerce as the back-end shopping cart functionality. I had never used osCommerce before so it took a while to learn how to use it, being as the back-end uses PHP for almost everything I really had to understand how everything is connected and aligned. Through it all though it really made me become a stronger writer of code and forced me to learn some good PHP techniques.
The site features an engaging full width image slider on the landing page that grabs the attention of the user quickly and creates a great way to feature the latest product or event. It uses some great CSS3 and jQuery techniques to navigate the main menu. Uses Ajax to pull in the latest Youtube videos allowing the client to add as many Youtube videos to the account and the site automatically pulls them in. I created, using jQuery, a sliding FAQ’s page to browse between questions. Overall, the site provides a great way for the client to market and sell their intuitive products.
* Please note: I am no longer the developer of this site. I created the initial design and layout, which for about 80% of the site is still my work, but since then the client has added an internal employee to work on their site. This was a decision by them to have an intern maintain the site most likely to save some money on web fees. Please browse through the above images in the slideshow to view screenshots of what is my work.
